When I was in my early twenties I went and saw a psychic. She told me that I would “make it” (whatever that means) by the time I was in my mid thirties. It seems she was wrong. I know no one else is surprised by this but I was really hoping she was onto something. I’ve been sitting around waiting for something amazing to happen, so have a few years to catch up. She also told me I wouldn’t die in a plane crash. I’m secretly still optimistic that she was at least right about this.
I love to travel, hate to fly, am the one that picks meals from the online menu before going to a restaurant and my idea of the perfect outfit is Birkenstocks, jeans and a t-shirt. I don’t like wearing makeup, am obsessed with CrossFit, although you would never know by looking at me, could eat Whitakers Artisan Chocolate and Ferrero Rocher till they come out of my ears and wish I lived in a 19th Century literary marvel, the more Russian the better.
My name is Kristie. I’ve just moved to my fourth country with my husband, two children and dog, Winston. I’ve thought about writing about being an expat, travelling the world, high’s and low’s of life, and my unqualified thoughts and opinions on worldly matters but decided it was too narcissistic. I’ve gotten over that. My second child just started school, I can’t get a work visa, so I’ve got a lot of free time. Here’s were I shamelessly share my Kanzu and Kimchi life.
